Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced the arrest of 2 Houma men, in connection with a narcotics-based incident, in the 7400 block of West Main Street. Danny Ray Howard Sr., 36, and Melek DeJohn Robertson, 30, were both taken into custody as a result of the investigation.
On December 1, 2025, Agents with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division were conducting proactive patrols of the 1st Class Apartments following recent community complaints of illegal drug activity. As Agents entered the parking lot, they observed a vehicle with occupants inside, positioned and stationary. While approaching the vehicle, Agents noticed two male subjects, later identified as Howard and a second individual, exiting a second-story apartment. The second individual retreated back into the apartment upon seeing law enforcement.
Agents, who were already familiar with Howard based on prior investigations and were aware of his outstanding felony drug-related warrants, immediately moved toward the apartment. Upon making contact, Agents detained Howard in reference to the active warrants. While securing the scene, Agents detected a strong odor of Marijuana emitting from the apartment.
Agents also detained the second male subject, identified as Melek DeJohn Robertson, along with an additional male occupant who is not being identified at this time. Evidence at the scene indicated that Robertson had attempted to discard illegal narcotics while inside the residence.
A search warrant for the apartment was obtained and executed, resulting in the seizure of nearly 2 pounds of Methamphetamines, approximately 9 pounds of Marijuana, over 5 grams of Crack Cocaine, 10 pills of unprescribed medication, numerous items of drug paraphernalia consistent with distribution, and $4,300 in currency.
Agents later arrested Danny Ray Howard Sr. on charges of 2 counts of Possession with the intent to distribute CDS II, Possession with the intent to distribute CDS IV, Possession with the intent to distribute CDS I, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Transactions involving proceeds from Drug Offenses, along with additional outstanding warrants in an unrelated case. Howard remains jailed at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on a $256,000 total bond by local judges.
Agents arrested Meleck DeJohn Robertson on charges of Obstruction of Justice, 2 counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS II, Possession with the intent to distribute CDS IV, Possession with the intent to distribute CDS I, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Transactions involving proceeds from Drug offenses. Meleck J. Robertson remains jailed at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on a $500,000 bond by local judges.
Sheriff Tim Soignet praised the work of the Narcotics Division, stating, “Our Agents continue to take proactive steps to combat the spread of dangerous narcotics in our parish. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to protecting our neighborhoods play a vital role in keeping our community safe. We are grateful for the cooperation of the public, and we remain dedicated to pursuing those who choose to endanger our citizens through illegal drug activity.”
