ATTORNEY VISITATION

Visitation will begin at 8:00AM and end at 9:00PM

Excluded times:

10:30AM until 12:30PM (lunch)

3:30PM until 5:00PM (dinner)

 

Attorneys MUST conclude their business and exit the facility by 9:00PM

 

This Means:

  1. All attorneys MUST email a list of their clients, including the date and time they are requesting a visit to booking1@tpso.net   24 hours prior to the visit.  The email should contain a contact number for the attorney.  This will help prevent any scheduling conflicts (both for the facility and the visiting attorney). 

  2. All attorney visits will be conducted through the glass in the visitation area.  There are two phones that are for attorneys only and they are not recorded.

  3. All attorneys arriving to confer with their clients on criminal or civil matters shall present at the time of the requested visit, a Bar Card, and a valid State Drivers Licenses.

  4. All Attorneys must sign in the book located on the desk in the lobby before entering the visitation area.

  5. Only one person will be allowed to visit a client, there is only one phone on each side of the glass.

  6. No purses/pocketbooks, cell phones, cameras, video cameras, tap/digital recorders, food, drinks and computers will not be allowed in the visitation area.

  7. If a client has trial and needs to view video footage and electronic equipment needs to be brought into the jail the Attorney will need PRIOR APPROVAL from the Warden or Assistant Warden before being allowed to enter the jail, please include this information in your email. You will only be able to bring in a lab top.  (All rules in #6 apply to in person visits)

  8. Attorneys are not allowed in any restricted area of the facility.

  9. Attorneys are not allowed to give clients any items unless it is their legal documents.  These papers should not have any type of binder clips, staples, or paperclips on them.

  10. If during visitation hours an attorney requests to see a client who is scheduled to see a medical provider, the client will see the medical provider first as per facility policy.

  11. Attorneys must dress professionally during the visit.  NO short skirts, tank tops or tight-fitting clothing, or open toe shoes will be allowed.
