Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced that a third man has been arrested in connection with the 2015 murder of Pamela Johnson, of Country Drive in Bourg. Detectives have arrested John Fitzgerald Bonvillain Jr, 40, as part of the continuing investigation.

On September 19, 2025, shortly before 12:00 p.m., Terrebonne Parish Detectives arrested Bonvillain on a charge of Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder. At the time of his arrest, Bonvillain was already incarcerated on unrelated charges. He remains jailed without bond pursuant to the arrest warrant issued by local judges.

Sheriff Soignet confirmed that the case remains an active and ongoing investigation, with the possibility of additional arrests as Detectives continue to pursue leads. Additional details will be released as they become available.

Sheriff Soignet stated, “Our Detectives have shown incredible persistence and determination in seeking justice for Pamela Johnson and her family. This third arrest marks another significant step forward in a case that has remained unresolved for far too long. We remain committed to uncovering the truth and holding all responsible parties accountable.”

ALL ARRESTED PERSONS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.
