Houma family arrested in ongoing narcotics investigation

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced the arrest of a Houma family on multiple narcotics related charges in connection with an investigation completed by the Terrebonne Parish Narcotics Division.  Robert Lee Miles, 54, Beverly Jones Miles, 60, and Robert Lee Miles Jr., 23, were arrested on charges, associated with the investigation.


On September 26th, shortly after 10:00am, Agents of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division conducted a search warrant in the 800 block of East Street, in connection with an ongoing narcotics investigation. 


Agents completed the search warrant in connection with a lengthy investigation, which lead to the recovery of distribution amounts of Heroin, Crack cocaine, Cocaine, Methamphetamines, Fentanyl, various prescription pills, 3 firearms, numerous items of Drug Paraphernalia used in the Sale and Distribution of Narcotics, and a large amount of cash.


During the investigation, Agents and Investigators located and arrested Robert Lee Miles on charges of Possession with the Intent to Distribute CDS I (Heroin), Possession with the intent to distribute CDS II (Methamphetamines), Possession with the intent to distribute CDS II (Crack Cocaine), Possession with the intent to distribute CDS II (Cocaine), Possession with the intent to distribute CDS II (Hydrocodone), Possession with the intent to distribute CDS II (Fentanyl), Possession with the intent to distribute CDS IV (Diazepam), Transactions involving Drug Proceeds, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS, and Possession of a firearm by a Convicted Felon.  Robert Lee Miles was later booked in the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on the charges and remains jailed on a $555,500.00 bond by local judges.


Agents also located Robert Lee Miles Jr during the search warrant, who was also arrested in connection with the investigation for charges of  Possession with the Intent to Distribute CDS I (Heroin), Possession with the intent to distribute CDS II (Methamphetamines), Possession with the intent to distribute CDS II (Crack Cocaine), Possession with the intent to distribute CDS II (Cocaine), Possession with the intent to distribute CDS II (Fentanyl), Possession with the intent to distribute CDS IV (Diazepam), Transactions involving Drug Proceeds, Possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS, Possession of a CDS I, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Robert Lee Miles Jr. was later booked in the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on the charges and remains jailed on a $555,500.00 bond by local judges.


Agents also located and arrested Beverly Jones Miles in connection with the investigation, for charges of Possession with the Intent to Distribute CDS I (Heroin), Possession with the intent to distribute CDS II (Methamphetamines), Possession with the intent to distribute CDS II (Crack Cocaine), Possession with the intent to distribute CDS II (Cocaine), Possession with the intent to distribute CDS II (Fentanyl), Possession with the intent to distribute CDS IV (Diazepam), Transactions involving Drug Proceeds, Possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Beverly Jones Miles was later booked in the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on the charges and remains jailed on a $555,500.00 bond by local judges.


Sheriff Soignet would like to commend the Narcotics Divisions, for their relentless dedication to bringing narcotics offenders in our parish to justice.  Sheriff Soignet would also like to personally thank the community for their involvement in providing reports of suspicious activity throughout our parish.  Sheriff Soignet said, “Our ability to bring offenders to justice is more effective when the community is involved.  I’m very happy that we were able to make this neighborhood a safer place for our residents.
