TPSO recognizes SRO Supervisor

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet is very pleased to recognize Lt. Coty Knoblock Jr., who will begin his 2nd year as the Supervisor of the School Resource Officer (SRO) Division.


Lt. Coty Knoblock Jr. is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of 5 SRO’s, an Assistant Supervisor, and approximately 10 crossing guards, which operate throughout Terrebonne Parish. Lt. Knoblock also makes daily patrols of schools within Terrebonne Parish, not yet serviced by an assigned SRO.


Lt. Coty Knoblock Jr. is a 22-year veteran of Law Enforcement, of which six of those years has been with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office. Lt. Knoblock served 16 years with the Houma Police Department, of which 13 of those years were as an SRO. Lt. Knoblock has recorded many achievements during his time in Law Enforcement, to include Instructor Certifications in many different areas such as Defensive Tactics Instructor, Firearms Instructor, Field Training Officer, SWAT Operator, and Crisis Negotiator.


Though all of the achievements are very special to him, he has a strong passion for serving his community and being a positive role model to the youth of our parish. During his time as an SRO, Lt. Knoblock is also known for starting the 1st High School Wrestling Program in parish history, where he also serves as a Head Coach.


Lt. Knoblock is a husband of 17 years, a father of 3, and 3rd generation Law Enforcement Officer in his family.


Sheriff Tim Soignet said, “Lt. Knoblock has been a great addition to not only the SRO Division, but the Sheriff’s Office family as well. He is an extremely professional and dedicated member of our team and is an even better person in heart. We are proud to have him.”
