Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet Announces Arrest in Early-Morning Vehicle Burglary Investigation

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced the arrest of a Houma man in connection with a vehicle burglary investigation. in the early-morning hours of Monday, November 10, 2025. Reginald Clyde Morgan Jr., 53, was taken into custody on multiple charges stemming from the incident.
On Monday, November 10, 2025, shortly after 8:00am, deputies with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) were alerted to a reported vehicle burglary in the area of Krumbhaar Circle. Deputies contacted the victim and learned that the victim’s bank cards were used at a local business on Lafayette Street. This prompted the victim to check his vehicle, where he discovered that additional bank cards were missing.
Authorities obtained and reviewed video surveillance footage related to the report, which allowed deputies to identify a possible suspect. Detectives later secured additional surveillance footage from the local business, confirming that the same male suspect appeared in both videos.
During the course of the investigation, the TPSO Criminal Patrol Division located an individual matching the suspect’s description, who was identified as Reginald Clyde Morgan Jr. At the time of Morgan’s apprehension, Criminal Patrol deputies found illegal narcotics, drug paraphernalia, two loaded firearms, and property belonging to the victim, in Morgan’s possession. Authorities also confirmed that Morgan is a convicted felon in the State of Louisiana.
Morgan was brought in for questioning, where he denied involvement in the burglary and the possession of the illegal items discovered on his person. Authorities arrested Reginald Clyde Morgan Jr on charges of Simple Burglary of a Motor Vehicle, two Counts of Attempted Burglary of a Motor Vehicle, two Counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Identity Theft, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Possession of CDS II (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of a CDS. Morgan remains jailed at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on a $125,000.00 bond set by local judges.
