Houma man arrested on drug charges

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced the arrest of a Houma man, in connection with an ongoing narcotics-based investigation.  Exavier Teon Lewis, 24, was arrested for several narcotics related offenses, in connection with the incident. 


On Thursday, September 25th, shortly before 10:00am, Agents with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division located Exavier Teon Lewis at his place of employment, in response to outstanding arrest warrants in an ongoing narcotics-based investigation.  At the time Lewis was apprehended at the business, he was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm, along with cash.


In connection with the ongoing investigation, Agents completed searches of a business where Lewis works, as well as his home.  During the search of the business, Agents located over 200 grams of Heroin, multiple illegal THC vapes, numerous items of drug paraphernalia consistent with the distribution of illegal narcotics, and close to 100 grams of Marijuana.  The search of Lewis’ home led to the discovery of a small amount of cash, along with an additional firearm.


Agents later arrested Exavier Teon Lewison charges of Creation or operation of a Clandestine Lab, Possession with the intent to distribute Heroin, Possession with the intent to distribute CDS I, Transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses, Possession of drug paraphernalia, and an unrelated arrest warrant.  Lewis remains in custody at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex and is being held on a $176,200.00 bond by local judges.


Sheriff Tim Soignet would like to commend the efforts of the Narcotics Division in this case.  Sheriff Soignet said, “This incident is another example of how proactive Law Enforcement investigations can have a positive impact in our community.  I am proud to work with such a tremendous group of motivated men and women, who dedicate their lives to making Terrebonne Parish a safer place.”
