Sheriff Tim Soignet has confirmed the funeral arrangement to honor Captain Brealon Yelverton, which will take place on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Chauvin Funeral home, located at 5899 La Hwy 311 in Houma.
Visitation times are as follows:
Family: 8:30am – 9:30am
Public: 9:30am – 1:00pm
Services to follow at 1:00pm.
The family will perform a private burial of Captain Yelverton, which will take place at a later date.
The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office will perform a full Law Enforcement Honor Guard service in remembrance of our cherished brother.
We anticipate that a great number of people will attend to pay their respects to Captain Yelverton, so we ask that the community that will not be in attendance, to remain patient as we deal with potential traffic-related issues surrounding the Chauvin Funeral Home. We ask that motorists travelling in the area of La Hwy 311, between Polk Street and Lafayette Street, consider choosing an alternate route to your destination to assist with traffic congestion.
