Authorities seek help in locating missing Houma teen

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet is asking for the public’s help in locating 16-year-old Jeffrey Antonio Mencia, of Houma.  The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division was made aware of the incident, which was reported by Mencia’s family on Monday night, shortly after 10:00pm.  The TPSO Patrol Division responded but were unable to locate the juvenile.

The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit (SVU) is actively investigating the incident, though his location is unknown.  Mencia is described as 4’11” in height, weighing approximately 110 pounds, with dark colored hair.  Mencia was last seen wearing a green shirt and blue shorts when he left the home.

Deputies discovered information that Mencia also departed the home on a blue bicycle, which was later located by Authorities, near a tree line in his neighborhood, near Prospect Blvd.
